Celebrating Nature’s Kaleidoscope:

A Community Earth Day EventEarth Day @ Welty

Join the Welty Environmental Center, Visit Beloit, Friends of Riverfront and City of Beloit Leisure Services as we celebrate Earth Day along the Rock River in Riverside Park.

Area organizations and businesses will be there to highlight what they are doing to conserve, recycle and celebrate our local natural resources.  Check out activities for the kids, information on events and services, and just great ways to get out and enjoy the natural world.  It has been a long winter and we are all ready to kick off spring in a big way!

At 10am the Wood Family pedestrian bridge crossing the Rock River will be officially dedicated.  At 11am check out an interactive public art installation for the tall and the small.  Enjoy a walk along the recreation path, and even pick up a tasty treat for lunch.

Let’s all celebrate what this whole community does to live lighter on the Earth!

This event is free!

Bring the whole family to celebrate Earth Day!
