Best Pollinator Plants for Southern WI (RCC Annual Meeting)

This free event begins with a hour-long presentation by David Bendlin about the best pollinator plants for southern Wisconsin gardens. David and his wife Barbara are avid gardeners with years of experience gardening with the climate and soils of this area; Barbara was a long term employee of The Flower Factory, a nursery well known for its amazing selection of plants. Their gardens and an adjacent city-owned green space have been featured in Rotary Botanical Gardens and city of Milton garden tours and are also open to the public on an annual garden tour sponsored by RCC.

David will describe a variety of native and nonnative annual and perennial plants that he and Barbara have found to be the best plants for attracting bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators.

After a short break for refreshments, the annual business meeting for the Rock County Conservationists will begin. This includes finances, electing board members by member vote, and any other items pertinent to the group. Folks who are interested in learning more about RCC or joining the organization are welcome to stay for the annual meeting.
