Frost Moon Hike
The light of a full moon illuminates the night woods and stirs the embers of what is ready to be ignited within, so it is a great time for reflection and opportunity. December’s full moon is also known as the ‘Cold Moon’ or the ‘Frost Moon’. Join us for a short reflection on this year by the campfire followed by a hike through Big Hill Park during December’s Frost Moon. Bundle up and bring a travel mug to fill up with hot cocoa to enjoy by the fire and take on the hike! Feeling like staying cozy by the fire? No worries, we will keep the fire going during the duration of the event!
The hike will cover 1 to 2 miles and is appropriate for all ages. Please let us know if you have concerns about accessibility. Most trails around Big Hill Park are easily to moderately traversable. Flashlights will not be needed. If you bring one, you will be asked not to use it.
We will meet by the fire pit on the North side of the Big Hill Center building and depart for our hike from there. Please note that winter nights in Wisconsin will be cold, so make sure to wear proper clothing. We suggest layering up!
Please register so we can get a head count. The event is free, but donations will be appreciated.
We hope to see you there!
