Maple Sugar Mania for Scouts, Homeschoolers and More

Maple Sugar Mania | Welty Center

The nights are still cold, but the days are getting warmer so that means its maple sugar time!  Enjoy an afternoon in the sugar grove learning about how maple syrup is made – from the tree to the table.  This hands-on session will look at the biology of maple trees, the history of maple sugaring, and the science and art of cooking sap into syrup.  Of course, participants will all get to sample the real maple syrup!  This program is perfect for scouts, homeschool associations, or other youth groups.

  • Level: 2nd through 6th grades.
  • Adult chaperones free

Call to reserve your time early – each session is limited to 30 participants.
Note: This event presented on both Mon. March 11th and Tue. March 19th.
