Nature At The Confluence: Water Critters, Big and Small, Macroinvertebrate Search

Tuesday, August 1st, 10 am – 12 pm

Water Critters, Big and Small, Macroinvertebrate Search

Welty Environmental Center is pleased to present this program for Nature At The Confluence’s Stream Team Initiative.

Free program
Youth program (5 yrs to 13 yrs.)

Join the Stream Team forces to study Turtle Creek and Kelly Creek and see what critters call them home.

Come spend a couple of hours exploring the streams at NATC, searching for dragonfly larvae, snails and crayfish.

Find out how to identify the organisms found in the water, and what their presence will tell us about the health of the stream.

Participants will collect important data about the watershed and share it with others in this youth stream monitoring program.

Come once or come as many times as you like to help with NATC citizen science!

Bring waders or boots if you have them, waders will also be provided for use.
