Plant ID in Winter
You don’t have to have leaves or flowers to identify plants–join us at Welty for a workshop on winter plant identification. We will be learning about plant morphology and how to use a key to ID the woody plants found here at Big Hill Park.
Bring boots and warm coat for our excursion outside to look a little closer at some of the trees and shrubs in the park. Participants will take home the book, “Fruit Key & Twig Key to Trees and Shrubs” by, William M. Harlow, PhD.
Program provides 2 workshop hours towards Wisconsin Master Naturalist continuing education.
Event open for high school and adults. 3:00 to 5:30pm. $14/ FWEC members, $17/FWEC non-members
