A Sand County Almanac Study – The Geese ReturnGeese

Winter is a great time to curl up with a good book.

Whether you are reading A Sand County Almanac for the first time, or revisiting it again like an old friend we’d like to hear your thoughts on the essays.

This month’s topic is the March essay, The Geese Return. Leopold writes of a time when geese were a very seasonal occurrence, and perhaps that may get you thinking about what you enjoy seasonally, or how all things change with time.

Bring your thoughts, begin a journal on phenology, or just have a nice cup of tea or coffee with like-minded people.

Please call or email to register so we have enough snacks for the group.  This program is geared toward adults, but interested teens are welcome too.

Call 608-361-1377 or email info@weltycenter.org for information and registration by March 18.
