Grapevine & Willow Basket-Making for Kids
How did early settlers store all of their belongings and move them from one place to another? Homemade baskets of course! These simple containers, made from materials gathered from nature, were a necessity to some of Wisconsin’s earliest inhabitants. Join us for an afternoon to learn about the natural basket-making resources found here at Big Hill Park. We will hike to collect materials and make a simple basket from small grape vines and willow for you to take home.
A youth program for ages 8 to 15 yrs. Fee includes materials. $7/FWEC members, $10/non-members.
