Welty Weekend: Relationships in Nature Hike 2.12.22
Join us at the Welty Environmental Center, where we will be opening our doors to the public on February 12, 2022, from 10AM-3PM. Crafts will begin at 12:30PM, and the guided hike will be from 1:30-2:15PM.
During this Welty Weekend, we will start with painting heart rocks that will be distributed on trails during our hike around the ecosystems of Big Hill Park.
Led by our environmental educator Darien Becker, we will see different relationships in nature: some are beneficial, while others are more tragic. Binoculars provided by the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology will be available for use on a first-come-first-served basis during the hike.
Because Valentine’s Day is around the corner, we will also paint a rock we can take home to decorate our yard or garden, or we can give it to a loved one!
This event is free to the public for all ages. Donations are accepted and appreciated.
No registration is required.
