We are VERY excited that Billy Owens will be offering this workshop in Beloit. Billy Owens is a nationally known basket teacher from Missouri. He is a second generation White Oak Basketmaker, he was taught by his father the ‘Owens’ traditional way of making baskets. All material is made from White Oak trees, which Billy selects, cuts and prepares by hand using homemade primitive tools his Dad made and used. In class, Billy will share how he harvests and prepares the material.
