Going Bats on Earth Day–a Wisconsin Bat Program!

Bats are amazing animals that make up 20% of the world’s mammal diversity and Wisconsin is home to eight of these species.

Celebrate Earth Day by joining Jennifer Redell, bat biologist/cave & mine specialist with the WI DNR’s Bat Program, for an hour devoted to nightlife!

  • Learn about your backyard bats and how the Wisconsin Bat Program studies them.
  • Hear about the latest findings on White-nose Syndrome and learn what you can do to help.
  • Listen to bat echolocation calls and meet live fruit bat and native WI bat ambassadors at the program!

Call 608-362-6212 or email info@weltycenter.org to get on the guest list (if we get enough interest, we’ll add a second program).

The program is free, but we suggest a $1 donation.
