Fall Equinox Wander & Storytelling
Hike through the park and down the hill as night falls on the eve of the fall equinox.
The nearly-full moon will rise shortly after sunset to light our way. At the bottom of the hill we will enjoy a campfire, treats, storytelling, and stargazing.
Soon the nights will turn cold, so let’s enjoy fall while she lasts.

Teen Volunteer Naturalist Training
Are you between the ages of 13 and 17 years, love being outside and working with kids, and looking for a place to grow your talents? The Welty Environmental Center needs you!
You may need to complete a certain amount of service hours for graduation, so why not enjoy the experience.
Come to this training to get the basics of working outdoors and with children, and have a chance to have a say in this summer’s programming. All activities will be hands on and outdoors as much as possible, so dress accordingly. Bring a friend if you like. All participants will need to bring a lunch, but snacks are provided.
Cost: FREE!
